RECOMMENDED POSITION: INFIELD & OUTFIELD
The Flare is our best-selling form for custom baseball gloves up to 13". The open thumb and pinky allow the largest vacuum possible to funnel the ball into the pocket no matter where the ball may initially hit the glove - making this one of the more ideal custom baseball gloves! The highest recommendation for outfielders. Outfielders charge the ball usually in a straight line. Outfield grass is cut differently in all fields and causes a snaking effect on the ball. That is why we create custom baseball gloves for all uses and positions.
This custom glove form allows the maximum possibility of fielding the ball cleanly and making the throw. Being that this is 37 degree flared, this custom glove is unlike any other. As with all forms the pocket formed creates a consistent point to grab the baseball. For infielders, this is especially beneficial optimizing the maximum opening to field the ball. This works well for middle and corner infielders alike. For pitchers, who really dig on their change up or split finger, this form is beneficial to keep pitchers from tipping their changeup or split by flaring the glove. Again, as a 37 degree flared glove with a metal seal, this custom glove with a metal seal allows for more accuracy and is top quality to improve all of your baseball games.
RECOMMENDED POSITION: INFIELD & PITCHER
The Roll can be used in all positions as well, but for smaller gloves up to 11 3/4". Just like the rest it has its strengths over other forms. It is like choosing your flavor of ice cream. Some players like a tight/closed feel to their glove. The pocket created in our Roll Form has a deeper more closed feeling.
This is a popular form amongst pitchers and infielders. The pinky side being rolled in has an advantage when ranging to the glove side and preventing the ball from bouncing/kicking off the glove. The rolled thumb keeps a nice tight form on the glove that most pitchers going with fastball-slider-curveball combination prefer.
